I don't have Photoshop or any commercial programs for postwork. I have IrfanView and RES, which are both free, but all they can really do are simple effects like contrast, colors, merging, etc. Can anyone recommend a good free program for postwork on 3D images? I'm specifically loooking for something that can smooth Bryce's trees...

Go a google search for "the GIMP" It's really good, similar interface to photoshop, but slightly less powerful. It's got good blurring functions, as well, which may be what you're looking for.

Lot's of people use universe for lights and skys in space scenes. No smoothing, but what the free version does it does very well.AgentSmith posted Tue, 28 September 2004 at 10:19 PM
