Did I mention that Hobbits in combat are a theme in the Render Wars forum.

One suggestion... Poses of people are not bad, but Facial expressions are too stif they sime like shopwindow dummies. This is bettl you should be able to see fire in the eyes and that sort of stuff. Light and colours also need to be more dramatic

Hey there Stanee ... Glad someone is still looking S Part of the fire in the eyes is dimmed by the situation ... Boromir just got knocked on his rear so there is an "Oops" expression on his face. Most of the others have an "Oh no" puzzlement do to the fact that the Orc leader came into the room and made a beeline for the ringbearer. Like he sort of knew. They have, therefore, a worried look rather than the fire of battle look. For the most part the battle was on the last legs and they were getting the heck out of dodge. As far as the color being more dramatic I disagree there too. What you have is a room that is illuminated by the dawn around 120 feet out through a little slit in the rock. The rest of the place is solid stone so it would be dim and hazy since they are stirring up dust. The other light is from the staff of Gandalf. Not a piercing brightness but more of a subtle one. The clothes are made for travel and staying hidden and therefore greys and stuff to remain hidden. I do agree about at least one of the expressions. It was rather bland. And in the final version I have increased the shadows and deepened them somewhat..
