The end of the Internet Porn Industry as we know it.

Tsk tsk ... to say such things. Lets face it, like technology and advancements in the "real world" are fueled by war; technology and advancements on the Internet are fueled by porn. Let the JPEG flaw cause any problem to the porn industry, they'll change to another format (like PNG or something) and watch as millions flock to the new format so they can get their fix. :) Remember what streaming peer-to-peer video communications were like in the beginning? 30 seconds between pictures and text chat. Porn houses start using the technology and the next thing you know you've got full streaming, hi-res images of naked people flowing across the internet. -=>Donald

p.s. We can't get trojans here, but I know of the brand from Prince's song Little Red Corvette ;-) P.p.s - little afterthought. Michelle can't complain about this thread, either!! he he - she brought it to our attention, it's natural we should talk about protection ;-)

Seems this would cater more to microsoft office and other microsoft image viewers more-so than the IE. I downloaded it and installed it but got a note on install that said it could not find office or other image viewers (microsoft) to patch. Will have to go back and read the fine print, unless someone already has? :> Thomas

My ISP has warned customers (in the demon.announce newsgroup) that live malicious JPEGs have been spotted, and that the exploit, while it doesn't work on other software, can potentially crash any JPEG viewer, even without a trace of Microsoft code.
