My most recent product submission was rejected, and among the reasons cited were:
My question is: is P4 compatibility an unwritten requirement for certain types of marketplace items? I had no intention of supporting old versions of Poser, and specify Poser 5 in my readme file. I found nothing about either P4 compatibility requirements or RSR files in the Digital Submission Guidelines, this is why I ask for clarification.
I originally uploaded my product to the category "Daz:Victoria3:Clothing", and I would have selected a "Poser 5 Only" category, except that there is no "Poser 5only:Victoria3:Clothing" category, only "Poser5only:Victoria3:DynamicClothing", and my item is a regular conformer, not dynamic cloth.
Is it enough for me to put "Poser 5.0" clearly in the system requirements? I cannot officially support Poser 4 because I'm on Mac OS X and there is no such thing as Poser 4 for OS X for me to test with, nor do I have a Windows machine to make RSR format icons with. Neither of these limitations prevent me from making perfectly usable items for Mac/Win Poser 5 however.
