P5 has a progress bar in a dialog window. If you do a P4 render, the progress bar will run from left to right for each light with shadows, mentioning what shadowmap it is rendering, and then run from left to right one more time during the final render - although "running" might not be the best word here ;) In Firefly, the progress bar is used once for loading the textures, twice for each light with a depth mapped shadow, and twice for the final render. If you want to know whether your render crashed, go to Task Manager, Processes tab, View-Select columns and select Virtual Memory usage and Page Faults. Monitor those settings. If the progress bar does not change during an Adding Objects stage for about five minutes, and Memory Usage, Page Faults and Virtual Memory don't change eithre, you have a crash - and from the Process tab you can kill the Poser app much faster than from the Applications tab. Few or no changes in memory usage during a "Rendering" stage is normal. But if rendering stops somewhere halfway an image, and it doesn't resume within a few minutes, you also have a render crash. Render crashes happen much more often than I like. When (not if, when) they happen, kill Poser using Task Manager, delete all .tmp files, delete all poserTemp.* files, and reboot your machine to clear out memory. AND ALWAYS SAVE BEFORE RENDERING!
The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter

thanks for answer my question, but I still can't see the "progress bar "on both render Firefly, and poser 4 render, shouldn't the progress bar pop out itself when I hit render now " and what you mean by "dialog window" ,do you mean "render option" window ?
