In the Internet Stores generally you can pay with $ or ****, for example:
if something costs 249$, the price in is 202.1, not 306,78$ as e-on charges for Vue 5.

1 = 1.232 USD
1$ = 0.812 EUR

Make sure you complain to E-On too, if as many people do so, we may make a chance of having this overcharging changed!

I guess you can't blame E-On for the VAT- you Europeans should talk to your politicians about that! Here in the US there is no sales tax, just a hefty UPS 2nd Day charge of $45! It shouldn't be THAT high for just a couple of CD's and a manual (the upgrade version)- since I regularly get much heavier stuff than that via UPS for about $25. So E-on, or SOMEBODY, is making a hefty profit from the UPS shipments. (UPS and FedEX do offer volume shippers much lower rates). The only counter-balance is that E-On is supposed to open their own online store and are supposed to be giving Vue 5 purchasers a $50 gift coupon on Vue 5 goodies. Sounds good to me- if some of the very gifted Vue 5-Pro series modelers want to offer some great plants, model sets, etc. it will be a good deal...

"I guess you can't blame E-On for the VAT- you Europeans should talk to your politicians about that!" But were much more then tax only. We pay at the moment we pay $317 for Vue 5 and shipping still comes on top of that. VAT is 19% at the most, but in general it's lower in most EU countries. So that would be $296 and we're paying more then that. The whole issue hasn't anything to do with VAT at all, it's due to uniform pricing. $1 equals euro 1, that's the whole issue. But $1 doen't equal euro 1 at all. The VAT is still payable by the person importing Vue, but as far as I remember, my copy of Vue 4 has been shipped from France and in that case the French offices should have included the VAT already in the price.
