Yes, that's right, my Simplified Global Lighting System is now in the marketplace! Through the use of ERC and an icon-driven display, you can now rapidly adjust a global lighting solution to fit your scene in seconds, instead of hours! Each icon controls a separate "zone" of lights, which means you can also quickly match your lighting to fit a background photo! In addition, the "sun" icon controls the position of the primary light source! Simply move it, and the main light moves with it! This package includes the Simplified Global Lighting System, as well as twelve light poses and nine sun position poses. In addition, it includes an illustrated HTML manual, to help you get the most out of your new product! I must now salute the people who made this possible - mainly all the ERC pioneers out there, and three of the people who opened my eyes to what global lighting could reall do - Blackhearted, Shademaster, and Traveller. ENJOY!

The above icons are the very same ones that drive the SGLS! Visible in the window, they do not render. Each one controls a separate zone of the lighting environment!

The image above was a sample render. I made a quickie background image in Terragen, then used that, and the steps in the SGLS manual, to create the settings for the SGLS. From the time I opened Poser and started work, until this render was begun, was just a FRACTION of the time it normally would have taken! Remember... Six clicks are better than thirty!

Question, can this be used by good ol' Poser 4, or does it use Python scripts that only Pro Pack and P5 can handle? Sincerely, Bill

Now, this looks like an EXCELLENT idea..so much more intuitive than the normal poser setup. And I have to ask as well...will this work plain old P4..or does it need propack or P5 ?

It most certainly DOES work in Poser 4! It uses ERC, not Python!

Great to hear it works with plain P4. Now if I can just get things sorted today with my card, I can afford to BUY things again :)

Can I assume this will not work in Poser 5 since the "crosstalk bug" was fixed?

It should. I haven't tested it much, but even if it doesn't, I could probably work up a kludge....

Well, if you get someone to test it in P5, and it works or you get a "Kludge" together if it doesn't work...I'd consider buying it.
