Clicked into the Poser Forum this morning, and after a browsing about a couple of minutes I suddenly realized why the site seems so (supersonically) FAST today. What a nice treat! I want to thank whoever made the decision to replace the ActiveX animated Marketplace graphic in the sidebar with a static JPG. For the last few weeks I've tweaked and re-tweaked my IE settings trying to get it to co-exist peacefully with the darned (excuse my language, please) thing. If I put Renderosity in a favored category in my security settings that allows ActiveX to run then the new WinXP security measures won't allow me do download any files that originate on Renderosity Servers (including freestuff) until I delete the site from that category. When it's not in that category, then I have to click a specific ActiveX override box to allow any Renderosity page to load or refresh - EVERY TIME! This (although I might have eventually gotten used to it) was a major interruption of my normal browsing habits, as I had to wait 3-15 seconds on each "Open in new window" click or forum page refresh for the permission/override popup to appear, then click, and THEN go on to the next link (I like to open 5-10 threads or gallery pages at a time, then view each after all have loaded - saves me WORLDS of time). Changing the Marketplace ActiveX graphic to a JPG eliminates these problems entirely. I really hope it's a permanent change and not a temporary adjustment. Now I only have the security popups when there's an ActiveX graphic in the banner atop each page - only about 20% of the time. BIG improvement. Thank You, thank you, thank you, thank you!
