xoconostle suffers so that you won't have to. :-) You've probably already read that the UK magazine Computer Arts included an LE version of DAZ' Freak model along with The Freak Bundle on the CD with issue 101. You may also have read that the Bundle installer was a corrupt or incomplete file. I had assumed that because the magazine is shipped to the USA well after UK distribution, the file would be fixed by the time it hit these shores. Not so. I remembered reading that CA had a link at their website for those who wanted the correct file. Not so. I've e-mailed them for help, but evidently the "solution" is that you have to buy issue 102 when it comes out with the working file. I'm glad there are some tutorials of interest with this issue (as well has a lot of Poser files from Animotions merchants,) so it's not a total disappointment ... I just wanted to warn other prospective USA buyers to be aware that the bundle file is bunk.

I commiserate with you. :-) Do check out the Animotions folder, though. Quite a bit of stuff in there. I liked a couple of the fonts by Misprinted Type, too.

There's not a USA version, it's a straght import of the exact same magazine (unlike, say, American Photo, which is less aesthetic and contains around 10-20x more ads than the original French version). The same is true of the many other fantastic UK computer magazines (most of which are published by Future Publishing, LTD).

Yes, there is some good stuff in the Animotions folder. I just wish there was a bit more attention paid to listing what was there, in the magazine. You have to load the CD to find out that there's stuff such as Poser-prop photographic gear. As well as yet more sexy V3 poses.

FYI: I got the Freak bundle off of their website without buying the magazine. You had to go into the forum and find the appropriate message with the link. But this was about a week ago and they may have removed it by now. -jsemp

Unfortunately, they've removed the link, at least that's what I gathered from a complaint about its removal. If they offer an alternative solution (to buying the next issue) in response to my e-mail, I'll post it here.

I loaded up the Freak, the program ran, and I put him in my last picture (ok, it was in Bryce..but I find texturing is easier there..;). Not sure what the problem was supposed to be..and thanks to Little Dragon for the Boots..;)

The Freak works, the bundle (clothing, textures and morphs) doesn't in the PC version. If you have a Mac-using friend use the Sit file and MacConverter to make PC versions if you don't want/don't want to wait for issue 102 (which has Amapi 6, by the way).

Would it be possible for an ingenious person who was lucky enough to get the Bundle from the (now removed) link to upload it to an ftp and post the link here? I missed issue 102 of CA and have yet to get a working copy Thanks!! hg guy

This happened to me as well. What a rip-off.
