Some of the atmosphere files I used in Vue d'Esprit 4 were from version 3 and worked fine, but not in 5. Tried to open them in 5 and it told me to use a converter for pre-4 files. I haven't been able to find this converter. Would someone direct me where I can find it?

How about open them in V4 and save them from there again. That should work!

Not familiar with Vue 5, but with Vue 4.5 Pro, there is an "old scene converter" program included on the cd that will convert "most" older Vue files so they can be used on Pro. The title is a little deceptive, as it's not strictly for scenes, it works for materials, atmospheres, vob, etc. (old scene converter.exe, 6,158Kb).

I've run into that a few times using version 3 atmospheres (objects, or whatevers) in VuePro. It has always been easier to just open them in Vue4, save them and copy to VuePro or 5 like Wabe has suggested. Actually, it's the main reason I still have it on my machine.

Thanks. Fortunately I still have 4 on my machine.

Have you looked in the add on's folder on the application CD? That's usually where they hide it....

Thanks, I found it. It was called a scene converter. I didn't know it would convert other stuff too until sirrick's post. Had some trouble converting objects. Must have run low on memory (1GB, go figure). But rebooted and ran it again with no problems. Got everythng converted! :) Thanks!
