Subject: Matrix Code - WIP

I had a notion today that the MoonGoat Effect could be useful (usefull?) in creating the matrix code, so I banged out a high resolution image of one of the bit symbol thingies. I would like some input if this is worth pursuing or not. Thanks for the help. Note there is massive quality loss from the bitmap to the jpeg.

Moongoat..lost signal, binary nos running haywires, crashing out of whatever. Universe suddenly taking a spin to do whatever it wants..out of control. I love the effect..like wave noise finally being protrayed. Can here the hissing of it already. Pretty illustrative if you can combine binary nos in that (yu'd have to psp it in?)

I made a stab at trying to make a font out of it..it's mainly Japanese characters, and numbers forward and backwards. I dunno..give it a shot..;)

Yeah there are fonts out there, and I believe an animated screensaver of it to study. OK I'll post this particular image in the gallery just for fun and get crackin on the rest tomorrow. I'll keep the forum informed of its (hopeful) progress.

Moongoat i have actually got the matrix font stored on my girlefriends computer, really not much to it if you wanted to try something use webdings or something similar.

I made matrix code for a website this week :) bryce is pretty good at making matrix code :) The 0's and 1's in this one are actually binary for my girlfriends name :D

BTW was that rendered with Depth of Field?

nope, not rendered with dof. I just made 4 diff textures with 4 diff degrees of dof applied to them. It speeds up the rendering time bigtime.
