I sort of wanted to wait until Michelle is back from vacation, and the cake, balloons, and marching clowns are all ready for the celebration... But, I noticed this morning that it is already announced at the top of the page. I am pleased to introduce deemarie and cynlee as the newest members of our Photography staff. Dee is not new to Renderosity, and comes to us with a wide background in the arts and professional photography. Cynlee is known, liked, and respected by the whole gang of crazy misfits that hang out here. Over the next few days we will be figuring out what everyone will be doing. There are some dynamic new ideas being thrown about! Custom decorated paddles and things. Please join me in welcoming deemarie and cynlee!

YAY!!! Misha, please ask Chelle to give them tips on stopping power going to their heads before it starts...... ;-) Well done Cyn, I admire your position. I wish I could get there someday but I don't know how to behave long enough.... or do I not kiss enough ass? I dunno, one of the two. Either way, I'll be lowlife forever. sobs And Deemarie!! Welcome! I don't recall having the pleasure of giving a sarcastic reply to any of your comments? I hope you'll do a little bio so we can learn what type of commander has been thrust upon us?!? At the moment I have a mental picture of a severe disciplinarian who follows the books to the last letter and allows no fun in class. Hopefully I'm wrong there. But the thought of a strict madam in class, well..... sniggers See Misha, you can't say I'm not at least TRYING to be friendly, huh?!? winks broadly with sly grin (",)

well hell...just when i thought things had started to do a turn around for me...this has to happen. first of all i find Misha is keeping cat's captive in a bag and not letting them out. how could you!! you know they need to be at room temp before cooking! then i find out Dee is into the whips and chains thing in the library. i'm sure you get yelled at frequently for all the noise. show some consideration will ya?! (i have velvet lined chains and cuffs if you need them.) and then...last but not least...we have a Texan put in charge of something here! look what they've done to the country the last time we put 'em in charge of anything! to think r'osity is a Republican strong-hold...i'll never be the same! i've started a refugee camp in Arkansas for those of you who want to escape this insanity!! just display your Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker and you'll be admitted immediately!
oh, btw, congratulations to the both of you!! ;-)

Hi Everyone :)
OK - SOOooo you want to know a little about me do you - insert waaaaaaaaay evil grin here
First off, I have been a member of Renderosity for 4 years [starting off as ladynimue and later, due to my magazine duties I morphed into my non-medieval nick deemarie].
My "career" with the Renderosity organization, began as the Managing Editor of the Renderosity Magazine [printed version], and later as Editor in Chief of the new digital magazine format The RIM!
I have worked side-by-side with Michelle [whom I think the world of] and the rest of the amazing Mods and Cords, as a member of the Mod Squad for the past two years [gosh it seems a lot longer] and as a Rosity Admin for 8 months [this summer, I stepped down from my Rosity Admin position due to health reasons, resulting from a mild stroke that I suffered in Feb of this year].
My health has improved, and I am happy to say that I am back with the Magazine [as its Media and Content Developer], and very excited to be back into my Mod Squad Boots!
As to my knowledge of photography: I graduated with a BA in Art, with an emphasis in photography, with some Photography Grad courses under my belt. I have worked as a professional photographer for over 20 years. My photography interests are mainly with people and animals. I envy those of you who take still life and nature shots you are my heroes!
But alas, that is not my forte. My photo resume includes images of: rock bands [some famous, some local], wedding pictures [always with a twist my favorite picture was of a bride holding a shotgun - for her formal wedding portrait], theatre stills and video of plays, several covers for an art magazine, a beefcake calendar, model portfolios [including nudes], motocross racing, and freelance photographer/reporter. I also work with photo restoration.
I love art and artists, and I am a huge admirer of Renderosity artists! The work posted in the Rosity galleries [especially the photographs] blows me away! I am awed by everyones talent from beginner to professional! Although, vastly different, you all share one special quality Passion!
Passion is the ingredient that makes a photographer an artist! And you are all amazing artists!
To answer the last question am I any fun? Well I believe in Santa, King Arthur, fairies and dragons. My dirty little confession I like working with Poser, and have, on very rare occasions created Vicky in a temple with a sword, even once nude in a forest!
I like parties, but hate to clean up the mess after everyone goes home. I think Michelle, Misha, and cynlee are amazing photographers as well as wonderful friends, and it is an honor to work alongside this talented group, as well as with the extraordinarily talented members of the Photography Forum.
Oh, and the worst of my bad habits I am very long winded, and have a horrible time answering a question with a single sentence let alone a single page But, I promise to work on it ;]
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!
Dee-Marie

Your use of rich jewel toned leaves among the earthy colored mushroom caps. Gives the impression that a fairy clan is hidden just within. Excellent composition, and amazing use of light! Dee-Marie

Ok, let's start by saying, Thanks Michelle, for caring about Rendersosity enough to devote your time to the cause, as we all know that time in our personal lives that finding extra time is hectic enough. Dee, Cyn and Mish, i have no doubt about your dedication as well, so thanks and good luck to you as caretakers of this asylum. To all of the new folks that have recently come on board, welcome to chaos! And Jordy, good to see you dropping in, so don't drop out. I'll end with something I once heard. Somebody told me dynamics in a family may change, but it's still family... Jack
