hello there fellow art fans this is stan lee..... sorry wrong post anyways Im looking at all these NICE * poser pics and artwork and whatnots and Im wondering to myself why I cant do that? Being an artist, Im picky about what I put up here, and true, I havent posted before, but thats because none of my stuff i think is worth your time. I wanted to know if someone out there kind enough could show me how to redo the damn eye brows and eyes in poser Is there a toot out for that? if there is, Im as blind as a bad with my mouth wide open. anyways PEACE!! PS:I hate only those i admire, so when i say that i hate you, take it not as an insult, but as pride Jude*

You mean texture them? That's the key, good textures. Which version of Poser are you using and which figure are you trying to fix up?

Hi Cossichj! Dont be so hard on yourself! Many people here at Renderosity post stuff to get comments from more experienced artists so that they can improve their style. Dont be afraid of what people might think. Many times Ive posted stuff that I didnt like 100% but many times you get better comments than you expect. The main reason for this is that YOU, as the artist spends hours on a picture and sees all the flaws and "errors" while the first impression of another artist could be totally different. As for your question, JeffH is right.. Textures and, at certain points, transparency maps are what makes natural eyes, nice eyelashes and furry eyebrows. There are tons of free, nice textures here at Renderosity. Or, if you want the best... Check out the store. Syyds and Catharinas textures are the bomb... And theyre well worth the price. Peace out! /Jacko

im on poser4 any generic poswer 4 female fig textures.... see thats just weird ive remapped a figure, done all the good stuff with it and even draw in the eye brows how i want them too look and all i get is the same ones that the fig came with And your right, I see all the flaws, when I throw some of my art out, people dont see what I see, they say wow good work excellent while im here thinking the eyes are a bit too small the lips could be curved a bit more the hips are too large...ahh hell, by the time im almost complete its balled up into wads of paper thrown with the rest next to the grey file transparencies are something im not used too..and I have looked on the sites that offer all the nice stuff. Im impressed with all of them, but I want my own stuff, my own eye brows my own eyes my own armors and weapons and greasy hair and dreadlocks an an...but i gotta start somewhere and if i get into the habit of taking the free stuff from others, im just gonna be like alot of other people that use instead of create. Thanks for the comments above hope you all can help Peace Jude

There is no need to remap the figures, the standard template works best. Here is a good site for texture tutorials: http://poseworks.8m.com/tu-tmskguide.html and here is good site for realist textures to examine: http://site.yahoo.com/happyworldland

Many pics here are labeled WIP (work-in-progress) so that viewers know that it is here for criticism.

The easiest way to make your Poser4 figure show your eyebrows is to use the "bucket-tool" and change the colour of your figures eyebrows to the same colour as the rest of the skin. That should do it... (with a bit more work than I did here in this hasty tutorial...)
