Using PoserPropack 4 with Memory patch. My Poser today has 'billions' of files in the Libraries, from what I get in freebies and market. So many times I can't find the new ones because the software does not shows it...guess does not manage to deal with so many files! Anyone knows how to deal with that? Having the files in the Poser directory and being possible to use then all, or to see then all and of course 2 use.I thought about install 1 Poser 4, one Poser and one P5 but since the PPP is an updated from the P4 I can't!P5 I'm not very much a lover of it! Still not comfortable with it.So..
Thanks for helping me.

PBooost can manage your libraries, effectively switching banks of Poser libraries (not unlike the multiple runtime feature of P5). I don't know if Poser still plays nice when you add items from different "banks" to a scene. I use P5 myself, and the hierarchical library structure is a real lifesaver. I've got a runtime of about 10 Gb, P4/PP never could have handled that much. Since you have P5, you can use it just like you would use P4/PP, and slowly get used to the additional features - starting with the material room.

PBooost is not free. Poser4 and PP have only one collection of items, usually called "the runtime". If the runtime is loaded with too many figures, props and poses, Poser 4/PP cannot handle it (the limit is 256 subfolders per item type, so you can have 256 Pose folders, 256 figure folders etc. etc.) PBooost makes it possible to make multple sets, each of them is a complete "runtime". Such a set is called a "bank" in PBooost. What PBooost does NOT support is a hierarchic system. I have organized my runtime like this: Figures | +-- Animals | | | +-- Poser Animals | | | +-- DAZ Animals | +-- Conforming Clothing | | | +-- Don | | | +-- Judy | | | +-- Michael 2 | | | +-- Victoria 2 | +-- People | +-- Don | +-- Judy | +-- Michael 2 | +-- Poser 4 People | +-- Victoria 2 If you want to organize your libraries like this, forget PBooost. Only P5 can do it. Ease of use? I've never used it myself since Poser 5 doesn't need it, but I've heard of some strange quirks. Search the forum for PBooost and you'll probably find out.

Yes, that's safe. If you never use the P4 standard figures, props, poses and clothes, you can delete those folders.

hi, ok I did what you said about deleing the folders...super fine untill now. Can I also compact the Pose folders+ Exa: all those INJ- Rem takes a bunch of space1 Just V3 and M3,S3 etc.. takes almost all the allowed space! Possible to gather together all S3- INJ and REM for example?as well the same for V3? and so on? or those POSE need to be in a fixed place so the object or Textures will recognize...be crystal clear about that ok?it does saves a lot os space if I can gather all clothes for example for V3 in one folder...and so on..thanks to help me with issue.

You can set up your directories however you wish, the only two I don't move are geometries and the Textures.
