well you have a good eye jeroen for in camera composition, where you're not needing to crop, then adding just the right amount of pw :]... i use PSP too... most all of my photos go through clarify & sharpen & maybe some contrast adjustment, smoothing & saturation... think a lot depends on the camera used... i've had to do less with this 5mgpx then i did with the 4... i would imagine it gets better moving up in cam quality & being technical adept at using manual settings... & my scanned images took a lot of pw to clean then up... there can be a lot of varibles to consider :]

Thanks Cindy !! :o) I forgot to mention that i sharpen too, but thats obvious i think... if you resize youll have to sharpen. :o) I can relate to the hassle with scanned images, i shot some rolls of film some years back and scanned them... it was horrible lol But i guess a lot depends on the scanner quality. I can probably get the images out of the cam looking like my postworked ones, because i can adjust the contrast and saturation as in most cams... but i keep those settings on standard because i like to keep my options open hehe I hope to see much more posts here, its really interesting !! :o) Jeroen

This is a VERY interesting thread for me, Jeroen!!! First, hats off to your for your outstanding photography! You have many gifts...especially for composition!! Sometimes i use HEAVY postwork...sometimes i do like u...sharpen a bit, add contrast, enhance colors. I will post 2 examples of little post work and a lot of post work...but later...gotta run for now. Patrick...that filter is dynamite!!! really looks great!!!

Thanks Sheila !! Im glad you like this thread, im looking forward to your post here :o) And your work DOES NOT SUCK !! I saw the thread earliertoday but i didnt have the chance to react yet... I believe someone said that the most important thing isthat YOU like your work, it isnt important what others think ! I Agree with that ! As an artist you express yourself and that means you cant please everyone, its just like that. Take care, Jeroen

I am blissful of admiration in front of this perfect work of merge, cynlee!! About my work, a precision: Photofilter is not a filter but a free software of treatment of images with many "classic" effects which I combine in best(?)... I hope that the other rates are going to come, it is very interesting! Patrick
