Hi All,
I just got Vue 5 and I am having big troubles with motion blur. Instead of a realistic blur all I get are basically scattered dots that don't look realistic at all. I noticed this in the Vue 4 demo also, but when I switched from ray tracing to Hybrid 2.5D I got beautiful motion blurs. Page 59 of the Vue 5 manual says that Hybrid 2.5D is available in Vue 5, and it refers to page 60 for more details...but the details don't seem to be there and I can't find out how to turn on Hybrid 2.5D.
Does anyone know the magic to getting realistic motion blurs in V5?
TIA,
Mark

Also, would someone be willing to post some effective depth-of-field settings? I get the same kind of scattered dots there too.
Thanks,
Mark

The Hybrid 2.5D is definitely a pro only feature, IMO. Its mention in the Vue 5 manual might be a mistake. Anyway, for raytraced motion blur you really have to boost anti-aliasing to get rid of stochastic noise. Same thing for depth of field. I usually use user render settings for more flexibility. You can then fine tune max anti-alias rays, color variance threshold, etc. regards.
