What's the best way to create a "sparkle" lighting effect or a glowing aura around an object? Can you get brushes for this? Thanks much for any suggestions.

Attached Link: Creative Mac DL Page
I ran across these just last night. Set #16 has some really good sparkle and trail brushes. They'll work on either Macs or PCs. This URL ... http://www.creativemac.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=19483 ... has some cloud and mist brushes that may help too.cjw posted Sun, 24 October 2004 at 10:56 PM
Thanks for sending the "Creative Mac" URL. Plenty of good things for both Mac and PC there.

If you need any more help with these effects I can help, brushes can help you achieve the effect, but layer styles (outer glow for instance) will bring you some nice results. There are lightning brushes out there and star brushes, I usually use white w/a soft brush and then use the layer styles and use whatever color glow I want to achieve a certain look/color effect. Gradients produce cool effects as well. Let me know if you need any help, also try a google search for sparkle brushes or whatever. Oh also - if you have a say a moon and you want to make it "glow" you can make a new layer, use a soft brush and trace around the moon with white or another light color, use gaussian blur to make it appear as if it were glowing. Eye candy 4000 also has glow effect filters. Good luck! =) and happy glowing =P

Thanks Sveva for all your suggestions. I will definitely follow up on them. Also, I took a look at the pictures in your gallery. BEAUTIFUL! I especially like "Solitude" with that glowing lamp. Very cool!
