Will this work in ProPack's setup too?
Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.
xoconostle posted Mon, 25 October 2004 at 5:14 PM
Charlie_Tuna, the setup room is pretty much the same in P5 and ProPack, so I'm sure the answer is "yes." Sorry Doc, I know it's your class. :-)

Hi xoconostle,
No apology necessary ... because ...
It's not really my class, per se. It's for you guys. ;=]
It's not my thread, either ... I just started it. ;=]
(and) It's definately not my website ... it's R'osity's and I very much appreciate the opportunity to share my meager knowledge with others that might care to "listen."
(I just hope they don't find out that for years I've been posting my "art" in the forum instead of the gallery, ha ha.) ;=]

Well... Will this work with 3Ds files? I just got a fish model and I can't move any of it except in stiff rotations... For the tutoral.. not yet... gonna sit down and read it harder.
geep posted Thu, 07 April 2005 at 6:12 PM
re:"Will this work with 3Ds files?"
Yes.
Hi AutumnFantasy,
Import your .3ds model into Poser.
Use the Grouping Tool to assign groups of polygons to a named group (name it a body part, i.e., head, neck, etc.)
When you have all of the polygons in some group ... take you model into the Setup Room and create the bone structure.
Dr Geep suggests that you follow the tutorial using only 2 polygons to start in order to learn the process.
Questions are always welcome. ;=]

dr geep

All right. I actually had started something like that... but I think I had done it wrong LOL I did; Spawn Props and I highlighted the area with that tool and the fish moved, with its lip, but another lip was still there! LOL This was before I read your tool. Hey I was close! And I did it on me own XD

Thanks ^^ I feel more encouraged now! Someone said that Poser 5 was crap and it really made my gut sink, thinkin that it was a waste. And no problem ^^
geep posted Thu, 07 April 2005 at 6:43 PM
No, Poser 5 is definately NOT crap ... and neither is Poser 6.
Take your time and learn one thing at a time.
It is very easy to become frustrated when you try to do too much at the same time.
I have been using Poser for almost 10 years and I am still learning little tidbits of information.
