Is it possible to parent both hands to a prop without turning on inverse kinetmatics for the hands, a prop which itself is parented to the right hand.?? I have an animation with a guy (MIchael 3) walking and holding a rifle. I setup the initial pose, parenting the right hand to the rifle then saved it and the prop. I then imported a bvh motion for the body walking, deleted the motion keys for the arms and applied my gun holding prop with the rifle parented to the right hand. Works fine, Guy walks, hands stay in place. Now lets say I want the guy to raise the rifle to a firing position while hes walking. You would think that you would just create a pose for the arms in that new position, posing the left hand in the same position on the rifle as the initial pose. and apply the pose to the animation at lets say 60 frames. Doesnt work. The right hand works fine, but the left doesnt. Any feedback appreciated.

Les Bentley has a pose for something similar. I believe that you would raise the rifle to pose the arms, not vice versa.

I usually do this:- - Parent the gun to his chest - Set both his arms IK-on. - IK-parent both his hands to the gun.
