I just noticed a problem in one of my characters. When I rotate the body or hip along the y-axis, the top of the right thigh doesn't rotate with the rest of the body. (The picture shows the body rotated 180 degrees on the y-axis.) It only happens to the right thigh and not the left. I've tried matching the joint parameters from the left thigh to the right but that didn't fix it. I've also tried poking around in the .cr2 file and comparing it to a .cr2 that doesn't have the problem but couldn't find anything. Has this happened to anyone out there? I'd like to find a fix for this rather than start over. Thanks in advance for your time. -Jim

It looks like the IK may be on for only that one leg.

Nope, I've tried turning IK on and off. The problem is there either way.

Then most likely that CR2 is corrupted; it does happen.

heyas; it looks like.... somehow, the right thigh is not a child of the hip... although it is a child of the body. did you use a phi file to build your character? check the right thigh's level number. does it work right otherwise? that might not be it... :/

The right thigh works fine otherwise. This only happens when rotating the body or hip on the y-axis. Nothing strange happens when rotating on the x or z-axis. The character is essentially the P4 female. I've been adding a couple morphs to it and I played with the joint parameters a bit to try to get rid of the crumpling the sometimes happes. I checked in CR2 Editer and the thigh is still parented to the hip. Where do I find the level number? Thanks.

Okay, there's the problem....you messed up the JPs ;-) Start over with a fresh version of the P4 female and re-add your MTs.

Also, do not use CR2Editor1.52, it corrupts CR2s...use 1.51 instead.

Actually, I thought the joint parameters got messed up, too. I dug up an earlier version that had the joint changes done to it and it was fine at first. Then used CR2Editer (1.51) to try and compare it to the one that was messed up. Didn't make or save any changes. Then I used Morphmanager to copy some of the morphs from the messed up one to the older version and saved it as a new file. (No morphs were added to the thighs or hip.) Then I opened the new file I made and it had the problem. Then I opened the file that was good and now that had the problem too. I've already started over and so far the problem hasn't come back.
