Looks very nice, Phil, how original ship looks like (reference), if you do not mind that question, and what texturing you have in mind (that is modeling with primitives, I persume) ? :)
Zhann posted Thu, 28 October 2004 at 6:25 PM
I like the ship, although the movie was creepy, over the top....

Yeah... cool ship, creepy but cool movie.

I couldn't find any pictures of the rear end, so the large sphere is kind of guessing. Anyone interested in having it as a freebie?
Zhann posted Thu, 28 October 2004 at 7:51 PM
You betcha, I have just the texture....the sphere in the back sounds right, that's where the gravity drive was...

AH, I knew that. That's what I was going for. ;-) I'll upload it later, watching survivor, CSI, Apprentice and loads of other crap first.

Yep, that's the way Phil does it, for now :P Hey, Phil! This is one reference page for the back of the ship (I think it's the guy who actually worked on the movie)... Click here :) Also, another website with lot of info about spaceship models, something for ya to do, till you find a job, lol ! :P Here is the link: Click here! Hope this helped ! :)

Kemal. Oh crap! I'm miles off. Thanks for the link, I'll redo the rear (and the front come to that) Yup, just Bryce. I have no luck (patience, skill) with Wings. Any good? It's OK. Didn't win an Oscar though.

Looks awesome, especially for a Bryce model... Good stuff.

That's a hell of a great looking starship Phil, regardless
of the app! I'd be pleased to use it as a guest star
in a pic. I'm impressed with both modeling and textures.
Hey, those are cool Kemal! Thanks for sharing.

I found the movie to be horribly predictable. Sam Niell as the bad guy, sorry I just didn't buy into that. SPOILER The ship used a gravity drive to open up a hole in space, and they opened up a door to hell as well. Now, IMO there was a 50-50 shot at either opening up a door to Hell or one to Heaven. Why is the damn portal to Hell the only one that's ever opened in these movies. (Pet peeve). Excellent model P. Love to see it as a freebie.

OK, tweaked it a bit. It could still use a lot more tweaking. But I'm bored of it now. Should be in free stuff once AS gets off his ASs :-) Has anyone used that joke before?Have fun, let me know if you use it. 18 meg unzipped, 1.5 zipped.

I just tried to dl your ship and I get 404 error. Are you sure that it is up? The first one looked great, I hope the updated one is just as good.
TheBryster posted Fri, 29 October 2004 at 8:51 PM
Bandolin: Sam Neill as a bad guy? Why not? He was the Devil in Omen 3 !! And the ship didn't open up the door to hell, but an alternative universe where chaos ruled....... I don't recall hell being mentioned as a destination.
