I've searched here and didn't come up with it. Could any of you explain to me how to smooth edges on walls? I'm doing a dental effect on a wall (squares cut out of the top) and its much too sharp. Any ideas?

pull up the object (click on it), go down to the 'e', below the 'm' for materials, and hit smooth. You might want to experiment with the scaling, you can vary the angle to have it smoothed..heck, I'm usually trying to prevent smoothing, but that's me..;) good luck.

But there's no E under M for just cubes. I'm creating walls with Cubes. How do most people do it? Ok now I'm really confused. LOL

hmm, i never tryed this (still very new 2 bryce) but perhap it may help you. When you have some cubes, maybe you could put some cilinders at the edges, to make them a bit smooth. other then that...i have no idea. Iam sure the great masters of art here know how 2. CZ

Smoothing is a trick with light. It won't smooth the sharp edges of objects. If you click on the triangle next to the create menu on the bryce desktop there is a rounded cube in the imported objects menu.

Exactly, Bryce cannot truly edit its primitives polygons, so smoothing edges can't be done like you would in a traditional modeler. As electroglyph says, you'll have to use the rounded cube that comes with Bryce, or use terrains. ;o AS

Attached Link: Primitive Shapes
Here are some sets of primitives, turned into Bryce OBP. Most primitive types are covered here, with different levels of rounded and chambered edges. Each set can be downloaded separately, or there are links at the top & bottom of the page to download all sets. These primitives help when Boolean modeling in Bryce. http://stevesartgallery.bryce-alive.net/downloads/bryce/objects/shapes/shapes1.htmlAgentSmith posted Sat, 30 October 2004 at 4:43 PM

ok..sorry..wrong page..;) I'm lazy, I do a lot of this stuff in Wings..;) Usually, if you're in wireframe view, and you click on an object, you get a series of controls next to it..E and M are there, even on lights..go with what they told ya..they don't call me Pakled for nothin'..;)
