In light of everybody else's recent/current ventures into the Final Frontier, I figured I'd jump on the space bandwagon myself and have come up with this sporty little planet-hopper from the not-so-distant future. Suitable for atmospheric and interplanetary travel... Sort of the home-built hybrid space-craft we can expect to see in the next century following Mr. Rutan and Company winning the X-prize... I hope :o) Everything modelled in Carrara Studio 3...

I have much more planned, so this is definitely not the finished version... but I wanted to go ahead and post this WIP and get a bit of input from you guys... I've got definite plans for additions/alterations/improvements on what you see here, but I'd be interested in seeing what you guys have to say...

I myself, sitting back and looking at the renders for a while, see several influences... including -- but not limited to -- X-wing fighters, A-10 Thunderbolt, F-18 Hornet, F-4 Phantom, Datsun 280ZX, '80s Camaro, the Space Shuttle, and a platypus... :o)

Sacrily enough, I think I can see the platypus components in the general body-shape :) Very cool modelling too.
