I'm posting this to let you all know that poor Robbie as i call him, you'll know him better by the name 01001001, Robot v2 .
Well the sad news is Robbie was attacked by a trojan(Dialer) on my computer and no matter how hard the repair bot(spybot search and destroy) tried he couldn't remove the trojan or repair poor Robbie and the only thing that was left to do was to remove poor Robbie from my computer via the add/remove.
There was a tearful moment for all when i finally hit the button for the removal process to take place because Robbie brought many smiles to my face with his comical expression.
Bye Robbie you'll be missed my Friend.
Now to be serious.
Yes i did get a trojan(dialer) on my system which was found in the uninstall.exe of drac's bot 01001001, Robot v2 i used Spybot search and destroy and spysweeper, that is the way i found it. I removed Robbie(01001001, Robot v2) from my system but luckly i kept a backup copy of him :)
So be warned all spyware will hide anywhere even in a poor harmless bot like Robbie. PS: The trojan(dialer) was not installed when i first installed the bot, it did NOT come within the .exe file for the bot.

Attached Link: Spybot
The files that are installed with Robby are:the installer is a free one found in download.com and which is used by other totally-respectable applications. I would suggest that everyone search their systems for this issue, because I do not feel that this is something that came from the source (As in, my computer). Might I add the fact that Spybot S&D also deems certain original files in Windows Media Player as spyware. also tick, would you mind actually telling me exactly what that dialer said or specified? spybot offers plenty of information from its library about all of the things it finds. do you have that information saved? i'd hate to find out it was just you who had this problem.

drac in reply to what you said Quote:"I do not feel that this is something that came from the source (As in, my computer)". The dialer(Trojan) was not there after i installed your bot. I do regular scans(every 2 days) on my system and i had only found it this morning. In no way my friend am i stating or would state it came from you or your computer and i hope no one thinks it did.

LunarTick, I'm sorry dude, but I just installed Robby all over again myself and installed Spybot (I have recently formatted). I also updated it with the latest security definitions. There was nothing found. Drac

Tick, sorry, didn't see your reply back there. Well then what is it? If it was a joke, state it. If it wasn't a joke and you think Robby had spyware in it, state it. etc. Drac =)

drac now we have found the source all is well in the long run.
I would like to point out to you and anyone else that in no way will i ever state that something has a virus/trojan/worm in it for a joke. I find there is no need to joke about something like that, you were good enough to do the model and give it out as a freebie so i only think it fair that i or anyone that finds anything wrong with a model whether it be a bad file or there is a trojan/virus or worm installed in it warn you of this.
I am sorry that at the time of me starting this thread that i didn't IM you of the situation then let you post the thread warning others as i see that to be your rights because the model is yours.

no worries whatsoever, actually. and i do have to apologize myself for being a bit brutal in my reply, having preferred a private message on the subject. then again, given the fact that it's a freebie and not some $200 model being sold here or something, no harm was done :) drac PS: if anything, provided it wasn't a false positive, the keylogger or whatever would have started working if you uninstalled robby. so i think most people are safe regardless of the situation :)
