Epson printers are nice work horse printers. I have several higher end ones myself. That model is a good model. Will do a decent picture print out and definitely will do nicely printing out papers. Just remember to get the best quality printouts with pictures, you also need to use specialized papers (higher end papers). This is with all printers, not just epson. - Noel

I've had epson and HP printers. The one thing I prefer about HP is you change the print head with the cartridge whereas the epson is built in. My epson blocked up and I couldent get it going again. (maybe I was just unlucky!) The biggest problem I find isn't buying the printer but affording the ink:)

Well the OEM ink is where they make their money :) The printers are basically give aways now so you'll buy the ink and paper. - Noel

I've had a few Epson printers ,been happy with all of them . Using generic inks instead of brand inks cuts the ink prices by 1/3 to 1/2 .

well as far as i can see, the epson stylus c86 is a pretty nice printer... the ink lasts a while also, so i think i'll be picking this printer up, the ink isn't that expensive eigther.
