I purchased Bats Ribbon Dress last night but Im havibg trouble with it. The dress will load and conform but refuses to render or show textures. Im using poser v5 and I have tested the program with other objects with no problems, it just seems to be the dress. When I command it to render the paramiter dial appears set on left forearm and the render bar opens showing it to be adding textures but nothing else happens. Poser does not freeze up and will allow me to click other options and scroll through my libraries(which is never the case when rendering) At this point I am forced to close the entire program to get out of it. Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas?

  1. Try changing your render options to P4 style rendering. There are a very few figures that can cause the Firefly engine not to render. 2) If that doesn't work, go into the materials room and delete all the materials associated with the clothing. It may be hunting for a texture it can't find.

Thank you very much. By changing the render options it worked perfectly.

Wait ... the left forearm, you say? I seem to recall a persistant bug in early releases of Poser 5 with that symptom. Is your copy of P5 updated to the most recent version?

In Poser5 sr2, the maximum sizes of a texture are 4096pix. This problem will be solved if the patch of sr3 is applied. Or ? which reduces a texture by the graphic software :)

the paramiter dial appears set on left forearm This is a built in error code used to debug. You need to update.

Forearm-joint does not exist in Ribbon Dress/R2.
