Yo,
I've been searching for months now for a tutorial on how to conform stock Poser clothing to a modified model. But all i seem to find are tutorials for modifying the figure itself, mostly morphing the head. I've already struggled through the learning process of modifying Poser's stock models and believe I have a good understanding of it. Just can't get the cloths to conform to the outside of the body without looking terrible.
I've come across lots of downloadable characters, complete with their own special clothes, but I want to create my own original models and clothing. So am I wasting energy trying to do this with Poser? Should I just model my characters in a 3D program instead of trying to modify the stock Poser models? I do have some experience with Cinema 4D and 3DS. I originally thought that it would be easier this way. Thank you for any help.

I'm not the best person to help with the question. However to aid those who can help it would be handy to mention which version of Poser you are using. Good luck with your quest for knowledge.

DAZ has a program called "The Tailor" which is intended for just that purpose - changing clothing to make it conformped properly to a modified (morphed) model. There's also the possible use of magnets to modify the clothing - many are the tutorials scattered across the Poser sites.

Thanks for your replies. Sorry, I guess i should have said that I modified Poser 4 models in Poser 4 and tried to edit them in Poser 5's Cloth room which had a larger learning curve than i expected. I didn't know about the program that aprilrosanina mentioned, i'll check it out.
Thank you. BUt i have to admit that modeling the characters myself is starting to sound like a good idea.

The Tailor is great. You also have to go through special steps if you have used scaling on your modified figures like I do. An example of scaling would be if you had changed the x scale dial on the abdomen to 90% or changed the legs to make them longer by using the Y scale on thighs and shins.
You need to copy all scaling from your character to the clothing (from body and body parts). Then you have to go to Edit>Memorize>Figure and save a new cr2 file with your custom scaled clothing. The reason for this is that when an item "conforms" in Poser it reverts to default 100% scaling. Using the Edit>Memorize function will keep new your cusom scaling even after the item is conformed. You also need something like the Tailor to copy your morphs over to the clothing as well.
