Ok...I have tons of 3ds files..how do I get them to texture in poser?I don't get it....after I import a 3ds file....I can't texture it like other poser figures in the "Render Options"...any help would be nice...Am I doing something wrong? I have saved them as prop files....deleted....reloaded the nwe saved prop...it's colors are all off then and it still doesn't accept jpgs...?It renders back to standard rgb colors...

That's because most 3DS files are not mapped to accept textures. Your best bet would be to get Steve Cox's uvmapper and after exporting the 3DS file as an .obj from within Poser to map it. UVmapper gives you many options in the mapping and you can even regroup, assign materials, etc. You should read the tutorials that Steve provides as well.

Ok,that's what I was thinking I had to go and do....something like that .....I got all the tools known to poser communities.......but I haven't played with these things yet....somewhat a newbie with a cd burner and a poser 4 handbook....lol

UV mapper is probably the better method, however you can use the grouping tool in Poser to do this also.
