Hi. Im new to poser 5, just got it yesterday. Ive been playing around with the Face room, but i cannot seem to get the right look i want for an asian eye-shape. Does anyone know of any good morphs/techniques that i can use to get a decent asian-shape eye? many thanks

Daz3D's Michael3, Victoria3, or David? ;) Daz listened and added asian eye morphs to these models that are pretty accurate . Poser 5's human figures don't have that quality. You could try to make your own morphs. I have not seen many morph targets for these figures. blauheit has a head morph for Don (Poser 5 male figure) in Free Stuff that looks to be Chinese.

No disrespect intended "Furyofaseraph" but if you only got P5 yesterday then you've given up on the face room too easily. It can be very effective at getting the look you want but does take time. I've been using it for just over a year and I learn another new bit every time I'm on it. Perservere with the face room and you will get some startling results. Give it time!

in the face room theres this little hidden morphs list that many people overlook. The 'Face shaping tool' window has a drop down list of morphs hidden in it. There are morphs for various features nicely sorted out, as well as ethnicity morphs. I'm not about to say they are accurate .. but its better than nothing. I'd say your best bet would be to get the very well made 'Eternal Judy' in the market here. She has additional face and body morphs that are very accurate and very easy to work with, including several variations on asian eyes. Lyrra

The face room does take a "LOT" of practise to get it right. With all the other stuff to get used to i.e. the hair room, the cloth room etc. I think the face room tends to get a bit overlooked because there are so many good character sets for V3 out there that it's easier and quicker to use V3 with a character morph than to mess with Judy [metaphorically speaking ;-)] and trying to get something close to what you want. I would love to use Judy more but I just don't have the time to spend getting the face right and let's face it (pardon the pun)her face does need getting right!

There was a morph pack for Judy (with epicanthic folds for the eyes) called MorphinMindy. It had 165? morphs in it, but my guess is that too many people would rather buy the same premade characters that everyone else uses than make their own faces, since the package has been withdrawn from the market. I was working on the male version, testing and making various faces, but that has been dropped as well. :sigh: Don and Judy and the kids have lots of possibilities... but if you want product support for the nonmil figures you have to buy as well as agitate so that the merchants will be willing to commit more time to them. And it is only by speaking up that the merchants know what to make in the first place. The link is to a Product Showcase thread, #4 and #5 show a couple of male prototypes (Chinese and Japanese). Right now the best oriental Judy is probably TenTen by Yamato (the body has been reshaped as well). Carolly
