Well, all we know (i think) is "End of the year". No information on the price so far too. Sorry.

nope theres no official info atm. steve posted that it shoudnt be to long tho in the e.on user forum, but that realy doesnt mean much until its released or they have released some public info.

I wonder if it will still have the star network problem and the inability to put video on a object? Then I wonder if it will be released too soon like vue5 and have all sorts of network cow problems? I wonder if that will be in the public info? Do you think eon is learning from their mistakes? The plant editor in vuepro right now is unstable. But of course I'm using a beta patch for vuepro and the official patch has not been released. Will vuepro5 come out before the official patch for vuepro4? Do you users wonder these things before you think about buying the next version?

:) well thats up to every user, no need to come down on e.on, almost every app has bugs when it ships and every single one i know of knows that. So speaking for myself, no i never buy a new app before getting my hands on a demo or if ive been participating in the beta development, regardless i and most others do wait until we know how mature the app is, and if i would ever choose not to wait, then thats my choice. as far as video import i do hope thats included, still not crucial for a scenery app but i would love for vue5 pro to be able to import video, but ill buy vue5 pro regardless of it having video import or not, and of course if its included im positive that e.on will let us know before shipping, its afterall a highly requested feature.

AS I have just finished a project that required video as a texture I would love to see it in Vue 5 Pro. As it is, I had to do that part in C4D and I would have preferred to finish it in Vue. I have very little problem with Vue 4 or Pro and never have.

I'm very happy with my Vue 4 Pro too. And I just got Vue 5 today! Woohoo!

if vue 5 pro included GI and some sort of non-poly-based grass/hair generator, i'd buy it in a heartbeat. until then, does anyone know of a good way to have dynamic hair in v5 or v4 pro without making it look plastic?
