Empire waist. Saw it on Rose in Titanic. Had to make it. Poses great. Out soon. The gloves are a trick. I lassoed around the arm created a new layer. Made the layer greyscale, lightened it, added contrast and flattened. Why does it take years to discover the simple tricks work best. (sigh) Hairstyle is WildWaves. Excuse Joy's blank expression. She's watching the iceberg close in.

I always confuse that style with maternity clothing...guess it takes some getting used to. Empire waist? I'll have to remember that. Looks great. -JH.

Funny how fashion changes. "Empore Waistline" refers to the period in which the style became famous. Would make a cool nightie with a trans map. Or mabey one a those fem fams always lurking around Dracula's Castle in their nightgowns.

"Fem Fams" should read "fem Vamps". I know I'm notorious for typos, but what the hell was I aiming at that time. That's what I get for typing in the dark.

And that "Empore" up two posts should be "Empire". We need an edit button. Mon was right. Reading in the dark does ruin your eyes. I'm going to bed.

The dress does look great, as does your hair, the gloves do need to have some kind of a cuff, though. I had to rack my brain when I did long gloves like this for the posette awhile ago, I'll tell you what will not work - morphing into a cuff, because it sort of "streches" the mapping and changes the color in the skin, and making a cuff prop, because it sort of looks like a add on. It could be that if you remapped a morph cuff you could get a clean map, but then you got to include the modified P4 Nude Woman object, which is what I wound up doing anyway, only I added extra vertices to form the cuff. But there might be some other solution. Maybe a bump map cuff?

Wonderful style. And I love the hair. What's Wild Waves? I haven't heard of this. Actually, the Empire style had a revival in the early 60's when Jackie Kennedy was pregnant and it became a style all over again for nonpregnant ladies. Melanie

smallspace- No, I haven't. It should work, except Poser's bump mapping doesn'r seem very "strong", it might not be enough of a difference- you should have at least 1/8" or so, I'd think.

Just a quick test (white on black)to see how much a bump map would help to give the illusion of a glove cuff. Not enough, I'm afraid :( -SMT

That's about what I thought. I think I tried that when I was expermenting on making gloves. My final effort was to modify the mesh, as shown.
