Hi:
Iworking on a research project to do head animations to teach Lip reading for the hearing impaired. I have tried Mimic 3 and the results are barely "regular" and need a lot of tweaking. Mimic's results are just not detailed and acurate enough for this project.

I therefore changed to Voice-O-Matic which is a Lip Synching plug-in for 3DS Max, and I'm importing the Poser models with GestureMAX, another plug-in for 3DS.

In order to have the smalest models possible, but retaining the fidelity of Poser figures I need to accomplish the following tasks for which any advice will be welcome:

  1. Ho would I create a CR2 file of V3 and M3 Head, excluding the rest of the model, thus obtaining a smaller file?

  2. What would be the easiest method to create the "Visems" (visual representation of the sounds). They should be morphs like Mouth A, Mouth Th, etc in the expressions pack, but modified to really be good enough for lip reading?

  3. How should I inject those morphs (visems) to the isolated V3 and M3 faces?

Thank you all for your opinions.
