Hi all,

A friend asked me to create a specific type of vehicle for him, the result is my new Mobile Command Vehicle. This bad boy is textured inside and out, has an easypose accordian style connector between the cab and lab, doors and hatches that work, removeable wheels and more. This is kind of a prelude to my Ground Vehicle Constructin Set which I'll be starting on shortly. I've kept my flight vehicle construction set texturing motife for this rig as well. Hopefully this will be up at daz really soon :-)

The gun turret, antenna and radars are all add-on figures and can be removed, moved around or you can add more.

Comments welcome and encouraged as usual.

Cheers,
Davo

Now that is sweet. Will this need the chair and console set as well? I haven't picked that up yet but it's on my list. Can't wait for the Ground construction set either. Then all my Shard toys can come out and play together.

Nice job indeed. Good idea linking the ground and air units together texturewise, makes a lot of sense.

I don't know if your interior changes from texture set to texture set but a "dirty" and "clean" texture set might be nice. I like the "used" appearance in texture sets (not "off-the-sales-floor" look) if I had preferences.

Very cool. Reminds me of the Landmaster(of which there is an unoffical model already in the Marketplace). But yours is posable! Look forward to getting this.

That is soooo cool Davo. Makes me want to do giant splattered bug images :) (so embarrassed to have actually enjoyed Starship Troopers!)

Nice vehicle. Will this model fit inside the cargo bay of the L.C.V.1 Cargo Vessel without scaling down?

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the kind words and comments, sorry I didn't get back sooner, it's been a hellish week at work.

To answer a few questions:

This set, as well as all my forthcoming sets that require instrumentation will require the SFCS equipment pack to set up your chairs, consoles etc. That was the reason I made the equipement set, so people could design their own setups the way they need them. It also allows me to work on my construction sets faster without having to bog myself down with redundant modeling.

I'm trying to get a few people to work on alternative texture sets that are more grungy/rusty/used look and feel for the interiors.

I enjoyed Starship Troopers very much.

You can probably fit 2 of these rigs inside the LVC1 cargo vessel if you put them side by side facing toward the sides, it won't fit out the rear door without scaling either the shuttle or the vehicle. This vehicle is rather large, that little stairs in the front will fit mike 3 and still have a steering/command center on either side of the stairs. I wanted it big enough to put stuff inside like computers and radar stations or weapons and stuff like that.

This image attached showes the MCV inside the shuttle cargo bay.

Hope this helps,
Davo
