Read Martin's tutorial here: http://home.hiwaay.net/~mhongser/art/PoserFace/index.htm 'may be a bit outdated, but the basic principles remain forever true. good luck.picnic posted Thu, 07 December 2000 at 2:34 PM
My advice is always about the same. Open one of the existing textures in a graphics application and make it a layer ABOVE the template for the P4 figure. Make the texture about 50% transparent and look how things fit onto the template. I think you'll see from this how you would begin to take photos or your own painted textures and make them fit the elements. If you have a decent feel for using your graphics application (like Paintshop Pro, Photopaint, Photoshop--something like these), then you will soon see how you can do this. There seem to be a variety of ways people work on these, but my feeling is that without an application that easily allows lots of layers, it would be difficult to do a very good job. Diane

I learned by studying the templates, and downloading the good textures others had made, and studying them, then just getting into Photoshop and pressing my nose to the grindstone till I got good results :) I posted a while back a detailed blow by blow for another newbie on how to do textures... I'll try to locate it, it is here somewhere, and put that in for you to go back and read.
