I am working on an 800 x 600 job but want the safe area to be 640 x 480. How do I change the Title Safe Margin to 640 x 480. The documentation (page 142) says to go to File Menu>Preferences:3D View and Adjust the Title Safe Margin. I have been there. It doesn't give me that choice on my version. (3.0.4). All that is there is rotation constraint and update current pane only. Help!

Actually, go to menu item "View" then "Production Frame" and you can adjust it there. It's in percentage - so I'm not sure how you would want to set it for your job, but for the jobs I do for television, 80% is a pretty close match to say the safe title in After Effects or Final Cut Pro. Chuck

I believe you can also adjust the production frame size by going into the render room and specifying the intended resolution for the final image. A couple of days I go I rendered some "widescreen" video -- when I changed the image output size from the default setting (640x480) to 350x100, this change was reflected in the PF in the assemble room. This method is probably not as reliable as Chuck's suggestion, but it may be worth trying out. Todd

Thanks Chuck and Todd for your input. The "View" "Production Frame" worked well. And 80% is perfect to bring the 800 x 600 whole area down to 640 x 480 live area. Jack
