I'm fairly new here and would like to upload a photo but can't find 'my gallery' or how to set it up. Would greatly appreciate instructions. Kora

To Wolfsnap, you forgot the trick I do often. Just use a flash, it will black out the background if its not to close to your subject. Thats the way I do it,so that the buttie or flower are all you see.

Apophis906: One possibility, but the problem with shooting something like this with a flash....is that it looks like it was shot with a flash. I prefer the natural effect of the natural light. I also have never really been a fan of black backgrounds in shots like these - looks like they were shot in a studio. I prefer a muttled, natural background. (just my opinion, though)
