If the Jetsons were real, they'd live here. :^) Fantastic modeling.

i'm worried it's too monochromatic. i also have no clue where to take it from here safe of adding some traffic =/
Ang25 posted Sun, 14 November 2004 at 2:52 PM
Traffic will definately push this up a notch but its already fantastic looking!

Great metropolis you have here pal. Love the architecture. :) Personally i would add a little color to it. It would definitely add to the scene. For example, a faint blue lightsource from left/behind the cam and another red, coming from the opposite right, and perhaps some ranged white lights coming from between the buildings to simulate some streetlife. You could probably add some traffic between the buildings, where its not so crowded, or a few larger ships above the city, but i think its alive as it is. Ok, just a few suggestions. :)

Oh, the modelling is excellent. Agree with Rochr about lights and colour. Make the windows yellow and/or bluish. And still think you shouold add some advertisements. :-) BUT pull that balcony up and towards the camera so you get a better composition. BTW, now that I downloaded Wings, I can really appreciate the skill needed to create something like this. Geez, talk about cryptic.

All the buildings have the same size rooms/windows and same color light blubs. The image is too small though to cover my studio wall.
GROINGRINDER posted Sun, 14 November 2004 at 5:02 PM
Needs some billboards with lights shining on them. Freestanding and on sides of buildings. Some color would look good too. Fantastic modeling!!!

If I remember right the CGTalk challenge is about creating an image that has something to do with a monolithic moment in galactic history...The pic is great as is but...if it were me...and I was going for the galactic moment thing...I'd do a colorful assasination on the balcony and leave the rest of the image a seemingly monochromatic as it is. :)

Some super modeling and detail in this Drac! I am fond of the monochrome look here.

That's one excellent sci-fi scene. There's a couple of spots that the lights show up dead on the building's corner, which takes a bit of the realism out of it. Hardly noticeable, yet it did stick out to me anyways. Nothing that a quick postwork can't fix. Everything else is grand.

Wonderful job so far Drac!!! I agree on adding a little color of some sort. Stars and a galaxy or nebulae maybe?
