I currently do'nt have any RIP software and am interested in printing a 2900pixel poster at 5000pixels. Can anyone recommend a good package for doing this, I wished Photoshop had this function Versions ago! = )

I'm curious about why you would need to use RIP software to print an image file. If the printing is too slow for you from Photoshop, make sure you print using a version where the image is flattened. Or are you asking because you're printing postscript files?

RIPing is similar to Interpolation. INterpolation is what you would be doing if you opened up my my 2900 pixel render, and changed it's Image Size Dialog to 5000(So that I could buy a poster printed at that size. But, Interpolation is The Best Looking Way to do this. Large Format Printers generally have a special software known as RIP to do this better.

Oh, okay. How about Fiery, then? It's the only RIP software I've ever worked with, but I read good things about it.
