I usually leave textures as BMP then zip them, You'd be amazed at how much a BMP compresses:)

Many people use .jpegs and then zip them.

Just can't see the point of zipping a jpeg, it's already compressed, so zipping it doesn't really make it much smaller.

Well, that's so, but usually there's more than one in a zip pak it seems.

These look really good. BMP will compress in a zip file. The only reason to put JPG files in a zip file is if there are more than one, for a single download.

Very nice textures. I just love this cow. She has the sweetest face. I wonder, though, why she doesn't have any horns. I've used this cow and I had to borrow horns from the helmets in the Costume Shop props. I love the brown one. I know someone who created a character in a children's story called Brown Cow and this looks very much like her. Melanie

Thanks Inkwolf. I downloaded the PC versions, and I couldn't open the bitmaps. Is there something that MAC adds to .bmp files that PCs don't like? I downloaded the MAC versions and got them to work with some renaming, copying, pasting, and saving as a .jpg.

Dang, not that I know of....thanks for tellng me, I'll check them out to make sure I didn't save them in the wrong file format, and if that doesn;t help, I'll redo them as TIFFs or JPGs and see if that works
