It's OK People, I've sussed it! Silly me, it seem's that I've got IK turned on for the leg's. 'Wonder why Daz would make it so that it comes in with IK turned on by default? Never mind, it's all OK now. I've left the post in case it helps anyone else. Thanks

According to the Manual, the reason for having the IK turned on by default is to give the figure a more natural posture.

Yup, that's natural when you move the figure by the hip with IK on and not the body. I do it more often than not and kick myself evey time.
