I love the sky and the color scheme ...it has that cool retro, sci fi flick advert feel to it. The first title that came to mind for me was "Departures" because it feels like they're leaving a blighted homeworld...dry riverbed, everything covered in a layer of rock dust etc... Cool pic!!

It's a really great atmosphere and sky, and I love the green reflections and blue lights on the spaceships. The texture on the ground is fine in the distance, but isn't that convincing in the very close-up areas in front. Just to be contrary, I think that they're arriving at a new planet, so I suggest something like 'New Beginning' 'New Dawn' 'New Day' 'Seedlets' 'Seedlings' 'Seeding' 'Landfall' etc. etc. etc. Just did a search and found that Roget's thesaurus is online, a thesaurus is always useful when stuck for a word or a title. How about... "Blimpies, two for one sail!"

Have a cigar? The first one to get the reference will get a free model from me. :-) On a more serious side, how about "We are here!"

How about...... "Twins"

Elrik the reference to "Have a Cigar" is because the spaceships are cigar shaped and "Have A Cigar" is from one of Pink Floyds tracks. So far two have my interest for a name, i'll post which one i have picked later :)

I'd call this image 'ERIC'
Eric is such a nice name - it's got nothing to do with what's in the image but it fits with everything else.
Sorry! Not slept for 3 days straight. The trouble with spaceships is, you don't see one for eons and then two come along at the same time......

LunarTick, you're the lucky winner! :-) Yup, Pink Floyd. Actually, the song is called "Have a Cigar" and it's from Dark Side of the Moon. Any category of models you'd like? Medieval weapons, vessels, thingummies...

Erlik, i'll take a vessel. I mostly go for spaceships but anything will do :) PS: pogmahone i'm going to go with your title "New Beginning" because it does look like they are arriving at a planet. I came close to using Claymors one until i look longer at the image. Thanks all for your help with this.

I would suggest "Welcome home".
But, a question: how did you get such a well and naturally conformed terrain? I used to do similar scenes with Terragen; but with Bryce I have many difficulties to achieve such results.

argon70cv, the terrain is actually two terrains, one i made by mistake and the other is the standrad terrain in bryce which i adjusted until i got what i wanted. The second terrain is one i was using to learn different things in the terrain editor with. Some how i came up with the gully like that and then i just tried different things on the rest of the terrain. I honestly wasn't going to use it in an image, was just using it with those spaceships until i came up with a better WIP for them. One thing that stuck in my mind that most of these people told me and i do it every day in bryce "Try different things out in the terrain editor" i'm even trying to do a building in there.

Ew. Of course, markostimpy, you're right. I knew there was something fishy when I posted that. but since I haven't listened to it in ... khm, khm ... I simply conflated them.

I was torn between Departures and "home coming" but the planet looked a little desolate to be one I'd pick for a new home...that's why I went with Departures....again though, cool pic.

Well guys after a long debate with the girlfriend and her giving me the choice of going with what she picked or sleeping outside i am going to name the image "The Departure" She picked that because of what Claymor stated the image looked like to him and that is what she thought it looked like as well. Can't argue with a woman, not when it comes to either sleeping outside or not. Believe me all she would have made me sleep out there if i argued any more with her.

Oops got here too late, but I would have called it "Tourists". Looks like futuristic sight-seeing buses at the Grand Canyon. :^)

Drat! Missed this post. Would have suggested "Landing Search" (and lost the contest, but nevermind) OT: Wish I were from the dark side moon (I LOVE Pink Floyd!!! - my favourite band!). Probably because I spend too much time on sitting on the grass outside a special cave overlooking some meadows near Granchester... :-)) Cheers, Diolma (points awarded for any references picked up:-))
