Wondering if Fractal-Explorer is a decent program to download. Input appreciated!

FE is a wonderful program. Absolutely worth all the time you will waste using it ;-) Toby

There are quite a few FE images posted in the gallery...take a look and judge for yourself if it would be worthwhile to you. In my opinion it's right up there with the best, and is quite user friendly.

I completely agree with kymarto and crazywitko. I've used fractal explorer, and I've not been disappointed at all.

Yes, go for it! Until I purchased UltraFractal, it was my favorite and fairly easy to learn to use. Treena

By all means, get Fractal Explorer! It is a wonderful program. I think you will see lots of Fractal Explorer images being posted here. It also makes Quaternions, landscapes, IFS, and attractors. It has it's own library of textures and does things like blur, sharpen, line enhance and other things similar to some simple graphic programs. I think you would enjoy exploring it. Marion

By all means go for FE! To complete the program, look for 3 separate downloads. One is the main FE program, one is a formula compiler, and the other is a fractal landscapes library. Unzip all 3 downloads into your main FE folder, and you're ready to go! I also highly recommend joining the FEusers mailing list (link also on the Fractal Explorer site). A wonderful group of supportive fractalists that will have you up and running in no time!
