Hello fellows, People in online games have been asking me how much I would charge for a custom made character portrait. In the past, I would have said "zip". But nowadays, with my job and wife to be taking 90% of my time, I am tempted to put a price on my work. So my questions are quite simple : how much should I charge? Could you point me to other non-free artists' pages? My initial renders are usually huge, but the final retouched image is rarely above 1024x768. So I don't know. I'm a bit lost. Help? :) Cheers, Amalthea.

I do character portraits and I generally charge $40-$70, depending on what they want and how much work is involved. I usually charge $50 for most stuff. bonni

I could give one, but I did it for free - it's for my own gaming group - and it ain't exactly all that & a bag of chips. I'm still learning. :)
