Hi, so what do you think, are they good or better than a mouse? Can you even use them with Bryce or Max? Is Drawingboard 3 or Wacom's tablets usable with Bryce and Max? How's the pen compared to the mouse? Lot's of questions I know, I am pretty new to it,I hope someone out there can shed the light for me. Thanks very much in advance, Miles.....

They are LOTS better than a mouse if you 'Draw' Because they are pressure sensitive you have a lot more control over what your doing.. With a mouse you select your brush size and no matter how light or hard you push down with your mouse your line will remain the same.. With a graphics tablet you select your brush size and can go from a wisp of a line to a tree trunk.. Total control. I don't have Max but use mine (Wacom) with Bryce. I use my stylus/pen as I would a mouse.. I haven't had any problems with it... All I can say is that having used a graphics tablet I wouldn't go back to just a mouse.

I like using the tablet as well. I have a Wacom. The only thing is certain operations in Bryce like moving or scaling an object in any direction hyper reacts - and so a little movement of the pen causes the object to travel VAST distances. However, as I 'pen' left-handed and 'mouse' right-handed, I swap methods ...handily. Using the pen to navigate around the interface and mousing to move objects. Dave
