I got some serious problems with a kneeling v3 figure.. for one, her shins can never be flat on the ground.. second, a "full" kneel (ass on heels) seems impossible without the thighs and knee distorting bigtime.. I tried a couple of poses from the net and they seem to have similar problems, however I've seen pics that look a lot better.. right now, while the pose isn't perfect, I got one problem that pretty much ruins the image.. I'd like to fix that without having to do post-work. I attached an image of what happens.. I've tried bending, twisting, using the "knee small" and other knee morphs, no go.. and the oddest part is, it doesn't happen on the left leg, only on the right.. even if I do a symmetry left to right leg. the attached image has the gamma increased some to make it easier visible. are there any morphs that smooth over the main problems with kneel poses, i.e. the thigh overlapping over the shin (not smoothly passing over into it), the knee rounding distorting, and the shin breaking through the top of the thigh if kneeling too far down? I read that Stephanie is more natural to bend, but she's not as widely supported clothes-wise and texture/expression wise, so I'd prefer to stick to v3 (not to mention the extra cost).

I think you'll find that odd creases and folds occur on most Poser figures when joints are bent to extreme angles. The pics that look better are, for the most part, the result of post-work in Photoshop or PSP.

hum.. this has to do with something else in my image.. I swapped her out for a different figure, and the knee was fine.. adjusted some other things in the image (nothing to do with the figure itself), and the odd "breaking through" appeared again.. I also checked the very same position without any background etc, and it was fine too.. something really odd is going on here.. any ideas?

The knee problem looks to be related to the JMCrKneeBend morphs on the thigh and shin. The left most knee here has the thigh JMCrKneeBend set to -1.0 and the shin JMCrKneeBend set to 1.0. The middle knee has them both zeroed. The right most knee has the thigh-shin joint edges highlighted in yellow. The JMCrKneeBend morphs affect the way these edges line up. You may be having cross-talk issues?

I will check those values once my current render finishes, thanks for the info!
