I just made an outfit for LLF's Kiki and I am trying to UV map it so I can texture it and I'm having a heck of a time. The outfit is fairly close fitting, almost like a catsuit, and I'm having problems with the texture "stretching" at the seam lines on the top and bottom. I've tried mapping it cylindrically, and then applying the "checker" texture in UV Mapper to see how it looks, but it still seems to be stretching or fitting together oddly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm about ready to give up.

I'm not an expert on this, but perhaps using a different mapping mode (box, planar, cilindrical....) would help. I've run onto this same problem a few times, and changing the mapping mode usually helps... but most of the times makes texturing a bit more difficult cause it changes the "projection". The above shown "front and back" projection I find is the easiest to texture, but the others will require some more time... Anyway, I'm sure that someone a bit more into this Uv mapping thing will give you a clearer view. Bye!
