Hello - can someone answer some basic Q's. How to I "unparent" an object in the middle of a scene? Say at a particular frame(?) How do I make an object invisible in the middle of a scene? Say drop the "visibility" at a certain frame(?) How can I insert a keyframe for the entire universe (snapshot of the world)? For instance can I insert a keyframe that actually sets the current dials for everything at a particular point in time? Thanks for any help. ARP

I think you can unparent an object using the Object menu, Change Parent and choose Universe. I've had characters pick up items and then set them down using Parent and then changing the Parent using Object menu, Change Parent. Not sure about visibility. One may animate materials and so change the Transparency ... Not sure if that would work with Texture Mapped figures/objects. For the last use Edit, Memorize All and then Restore All at the keyframe in question. Using the Keyframe Editor you can move whole blocks of keyframes. Always save before you attempt to play with the Keyframe Editor. It's pretty powerful and you can really mess things up with it ... Best Wishes, Rance

If you want the thing to disappear without coming back then make a keyframe at the last visible screen and then in the next screen move the figure well out of the camera view (or just out of the camera view if it doesn`t move) if you want the figure to reappear you just do the same steps in reverse but it would help to save a pose of the last visible screen so that the figure reappears in the same place.
