I have posted something like this before but I still have no solution for this problem. If I use IK on a figure (Mike 3 or Victoria 3)in an animation there is this strange thing happening to the hands. They sometimes twist and bend out of limit and the dials seem to loose the original function. I mean there is no way to fix the problem because "bend" is not "bend" any more but something different:( Please don't tell me to turn IK of because I need it in animations... Any other ideas?

I got that sometimes when I parented a prop to the hand. Parenting to the forearm instead cured it. OTOH, with all the moving parts, chewing gum, and baling wire behind the pretty interface, it could be a jillion other things. Also I haven't ventured into animations. That probably won't be much help directly, but maybe it will serve as a clue? Good luck...

Do you have Use Limits turned on?

yes. I tried with "use limits" and without...

The doc is posing hands today and did feet yesterday. I believe IK is a posing aid and probably not able to calculate overly complex motions. Hope this helps.
