It comes on a cassette? Whoopee. I had a lot less trouble with my Speccy than I`ve had with these B#@?~Y hard drives. LOL Brilliant bit of modeling, BTW.

That's an amazingly cool bit of modeling and render work!! It looks very real IMO, so much so that I at first thought it was a photo. I was even thinking "wait a minute, shouldn't that cassette case be a little darker, less transparent?" Then I realised that this looks almost exactly like the cassettes that a friend from Japan sends to me.

Brilliant model so far! Are you going to poser enable it at the end with a morph for the tape being strung out and tangled all over the place? :)

Ah well as long as your Chuntey is in working order it should load in just under 15 minutes.
The Speccy loading "aura". i.e. the mystical field set up when the Speccy was loading that was sensitive to the slightest disturbance e.g. your mum walking into the room. Of course causing a disturbance in the chuntey instantly causes any game currently loading to fail. Coined by La Haine accidentally as a misspelling of "chutney", and defined by Llama-Wax Len.
In the words of the Llama-Waxer himself, "Spectrums have the one true chuntey, the uber-chuntey if you will.
Other 8-bit machines had similar problems, but paled in comparison to the Speccy chuntey. Machines such as the CBM64 and the CPC had what scientists refer to as pseudo-chuntey.
PCs have chuntey-related issues that have descended from these but are not quite the same - in essence, PCs are affected by neo-chuntey."

Pretty damn good, but I'm not convinced you made holes for the cassette machine spindles that rotate the spools.......

yeah waited half an hour to load then get a load error and the blue and yellow stripes and that awfull noise lol tryed numerous diffrent players then found that sanyo did preform best on its special data setting and absolutely no moving while loading later with c64 and fast loader you could get it down to 5 min and put + - 40 games on one tape always had to beg my neighbour for new ones, those were the days!

Great modeling.

WOW bazze!! I want it, does it come with turbo loader. How much does it take to load? hhe hehe I'm still under my desk laughing!!
pauljs75 posted Thu, 02 December 2004 at 9:43 AM
Cool it works in full 48 color on the 130XE. Heheh... Even makes the obnoxious "farting" noises when it boots. LOL!
Oh yeah, don't forget to hold the option key when booting, it's a binary file.
Can't do a whole lot though before hitting the 128K memory ceiling, and repeatedly swapping the floppy for virtual mem takes all day long.
