Hello, I have just bought Bryce 5.1 at Daz and I was told by a friend of mine, that the Bryce forum at Rendo was the place to seek some advice. I am obviously a new born Bryce baby, and what I need most of all right now is to make the program work properly. Well, the program itself works as it should, but I am not able to access the help file, nor the links or the tutorials in the menu bar. I have all the icons in the menu, but when I try and activate them nothing happens. There was no installation guide with the program and all I could find at the Bryce Talk forum - concerning similar problems - was to enable Java in my browser. This hasn't helped either. So could someone give me an advice about what to do ? I would appreciate any help to get Bryce to work 100 %. Thanks in advance :) Ciao Anne

I can direct you to a Newbie's tutorial series that will really get you started. It's for true beginners and will get you familiar with the program: http://www.mulawa.net/bryce/
Sorry that I can't help with accessing the help and tutorials with the program.

This page of Bryce FAQ's at DAZ has a question asking why Bryce Help files will not come up in "Internet Explorer" about a third of way down the list. Hope this helps. Good luck ICM

I have Mozilla Firefox set as my default browser (never use it, I have to admit I use IE all the time) and the Help Files open without problem. I have Daz Bryce as well.

Thanks for the replies - I appreciate it. Since it seemed to be the easiest, I have installed Firefox and made it my default browser. However this doesn't solve the problem, unfortunately. So I guess I will have to install Netscape and try and find the file (switchf.js) as mentioned in the FAQ link. Thanks for your help and also for the newbie tutorials :) Anne
